Accessibility Statement
Last updated June 22, 2026.
Femfounded is committed to making femfounded.org usable by as many people as possible, including those who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. Accessibility is part of our mission to make business knowledge available to everyone.
Conformance status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the standard widely used as a benchmark for accessible websites. We consider the Site to be substantially conformant, meaning most of it meets the standard while some content may not yet fully conform. We are actively working to close any gaps.
Measures we take
To support accessibility, we work to ensure that the Site:
- uses clear, semantic structure with logical headings;
- maintains sufficient color contrast between text and background;
- can be navigated by keyboard;
- uses descriptive link text rather than vague labels;
- provides meaningful alternative text for images that carry information;
- keeps layouts responsive and readable across devices and zoom levels.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may fall short of full conformance. Older articles, embedded third-party content, or complex data tables may not always meet every criterion. Where we find such issues, we prioritize fixing them, and we welcome your help in identifying them.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is not a one-time task. As we publish and update content, we continue to test and improve. We review the Site regularly and treat accessibility issues as bugs to be fixed.
Feedback and help
If you encounter a barrier anywhere on the Site, or if you need a piece of content in a different format, please email [email protected]. Tell us what happened, the page you were on, and the assistive technology you were using if relevant. We will help you reach the content you need and work to fix the underlying issue as quickly as we can.
