These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of femfounded.org and its content (the "Site"), operated by Femfounded ("Femfounded," "we," "us," or "our"). Please read them carefully. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

The Site is intended for adults. By using it, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and that you are able to enter into a binding agreement.

2. What Femfounded provides

Femfounded is a free, public library of educational and editorial content about business, including case studies, reference articles, and culture pieces. The content is general information and commentary. It is not personalized advice, and it does not create any professional or advisory relationship between you and Femfounded.

3. Not professional advice

Nothing on the Site is financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, or business advice tailored to your circumstances. We research and source our work carefully, but you should not act on it without verifying the details and, where appropriate, consulting a qualified professional who understands your situation. Any decision you make based on the Site is your own, made at your own risk.

4. No guarantees and assumption of risk

Starting and running a business involves substantial risk, including the risk of financial loss. We make no representation or warranty about results, earnings, or outcomes. Any figures, valuations, or examples we cite describe specific people and situations and are not a prediction of your results. You assume full responsibility for how you use the information on the Site.

5. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise noted, the content on the Site, including text, research, graphics, design, and the Femfounded name and logo, is owned by Femfounded or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may read the content for personal, non-commercial use, share links to it, and quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back. You may not copy, republish, scrape, redistribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• copy, harvest, or scrape content or data at scale, including by automated means;
• attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its infrastructure;
• introduce malware or otherwise compromise the Site's security; or
• misrepresent your affiliation with Femfounded.

We may suspend or restrict access if you violate these Terms.

7. Newsletter and communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you consent to receive periodic emails from us. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party links and content

The Site links to third-party websites, tools, and resources that we do not own or control. We provide these for convenience and reference only. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, products, or practices of any third-party site, and a link does not imply endorsement.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Femfounded and anyone involved in creating or operating the Site will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Femfounded from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to the Site and these Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the courts located in Ontario, Canada, unless mandatory local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

14. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will stay in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, are the entire agreement between you and Femfounded regarding the Site.
